Diana, CEM PhD student in Exchange Research Activity in Yuntech, Taiwan
I had the incredible opportunity to visit Taiwan as part of a two-month exchange program from November 25, 2024, to January 19, 2025. As a visiting scholar from King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok, I was warmly welcomed at the National Yunlin University of Science and Technology, Department of Chemical and Materials Engineering. Under the guidance of Professor Yu-Shen Cheng, I worked on an exciting research project focused on developing insect byproducts through biorefinery methodsfor a low carbon footprint and net-zero emissions. This experience allowed me to deepen my research skills and exposed me to new laboratory techniques and innovative approaches in sustainable biotechnology. Beyond academics, my stay in Taiwan was enriched by the warm hospitality, vibrant culture, and efficient lifestyle, especially the ease of transportation around the campus and city. This exchange program was a truly rewarding experience, contributing significantly to my academic and personal growth.
